Terrence D. Julien, M.D.

Terrence D. Julien, MD, a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with particular clinical expertise in complex spinal disorders, minimally invasive spinal disorders and robotic spine surgery. He joins the physicians of Spine and Orthopedic Specialists. 

Dr. Julien is a graduate of Howard University, College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his general surgery residency at the Medical Center of Delaware in Wilmington Del. He went on to complete a neurosurgery clinical fellowship at New York University Medical Center and a neurosurgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He completed neurosurgical oncology research experience at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Weill Medical School of Cornell University in New York. He also completed a clinical fellowship, and served as instructor in the Department of Surgery, Neuro-Oncology Program at USF/H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Fla.

He is board-certified, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds professional memberships with the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons,  the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery, and The Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgical Society.

Dr. Julien has published manuscripts and abstracts in medical journals and has presented to medical audiences locally and nationally. He has served academically as an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA, also as an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Vice-Chairman in the department of Neurosurgery at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in Huntington, W.V. and as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.  He most recently was an Associate physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tamps, FL, part of BayCare Medical Group.

When Dr Julien is not treating patients he enjoys Traveling , cars and playing golf.
