David A. Padden M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon who has practiced in South Florida since 1998. He has an extensive background in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee, orthopedic trauma, and general orthopedics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as well as the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. 

Dr. Padden graduated cum laude from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He did an internship at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York in General Surgery, and then completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. Under the auspices of David Hungerford, one of the founding fathers of total joint replacement in the United States, he completed his fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

He was an orthopedic trauma specialist at Broward Health North for many years, and has extensive experience in robotic joint replacement of the hip and knee. In 2011, he helped pioneer robotic hip replacement surgery at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He has trained surgeons both nationally and internationally in the past for both Mako Surgical and Stryker Corporation. He has also published a number of articles in peer reviewed medical journals.
